hack·a·thon: Also known as a hack day, hackfest, datathon or codefest; a portmanteau of the hacking marathon is a design sprint-like event; often, in which computer programmers and others involved in software development, including graphic designers, interface designers, project managers, domain experts, and others collaborate intensively on software projects. A year ago I’d just browse through all the amazing projects on hackathon websites like Devpost and wonder how people come up with such ideas and how technically skilled one needs to be to convert these ideas into full-fledged applications or MVPs(Minimum Viable Product) in such a short time. Any…

This tutorial is for all the flutter newbies out there who want to try their hands on a mini and fun project. In this step-by-step tutorial, we’re going to develop a toy xylophone app using a plugin called Audio players.

Audio players allow us to play multiple audio files simultaneously. There can be three possible sources of audio:

  • Remote file on the Internet
  • Local file on the user’s device
  • Local asset from your Flutter project

In this project, we’ll be using audio files from a local asset in our flutter project.

Getting Started

Let’s start building our xylophone app. Open your favorite…

Standard Template Library(STL) is a set of C++ template classes that provide generic classes and functions which can be used to implement common data structures and algorithms. STL has 3 components: 1)Containers 2)Algorithms and 3)Iterators. In this post, I will be explaining different containers.

A container as the name suggests is a holder object that holds/stores other objects/elements.

There are 4 types of containers.

Sequential Containers: Used to implement data structures that are sequential in nature.

Vector: Used to replicate dynamic arrays.

Vectors are similar to arrays and store elements in contiguous memory locations hence insertion in the middle…
